Sports & Fitness Day

What a great day we had at the Orangeville Fairgrounds! Cadets showed up with amazing attitudes and kept that attitude going all day! Competition, team building and plenty of exercise was had by all.

Shout out to WO McNeil- Federico for running the day smoothly and improvising when needed. Sgt McDonald and Mcpl Sword for stepping up and helping WO McNeil- Federico.

The enthusiasm that was brought yesterday by all cadets is something to be recognized as well. The enthusiasm yesterday created an atmosphere that made our new, and shy cadets come out of their shell and let us get to know them better. Was great to see.

Cold Weather FTX

This weekend cadets spent their time learning the the survival elements of cold weather training. They participated in snow shoeing, learning keys to dress and self regulating body heat in the cold environment to avoid over heating, erecting and tear down of arctic tents and much more about what each individual is capable of when they push themselves in unfamiliar situations. The weekend was a huge success for all who attended and the life lessons learned will never be forgotten and will continue to serve them in cadets and their lives.

We want to congratulate all cadets on the weekend, to all our instructors who spent the time to prepare & teach, and a big shout out to a couple key individuals that made the weekend possible. Sgt MacNeil-Federico and Sgt Donnelly who spent countless hours meticulously planning and preparing the weekend and for the leadership and well executed training this weekend. O/Cdt Wilson on her first cold weather exercise and her first FTX as an officer in the CAF.
